MARYLOU FAURE
14th of July - 14th of August 2022
Panel on 25th of June, 7pm
On the 14th of July 2022, French artist Marylou Faure will open her new solo exhibition ‘Skinny
Dipping’ - a playful series of artwork based on the feeling of freedom that comes when swimming
nude.
The main piece of Marylou’s new show will be a 4m tall inflatable sculpture that will be displayed
in the store.
The piece represents one of Marylou’s self proclaimed “babe” diving into a splash of water,
seconds before she is submerged into the wonders of the underwater world.
‘Skinny Dipping’ represents the weightless freedom of being fully immersed in water - the
sensuality of water on skin & the pleasure of being in your own world, for a time.
Marylou exhibited a similar piece in Shanghai in 2021, with a 5m tall inflatable character based on
her ‘Daydream’ piece. Since then, she’s wanted to bring the largeness of the scale to East
London, where she lives and works.
Alongside the inflatable sculpture will be displayed hand painted resin figurines, large scale prints
as well as original acrylic creations.

GUBNS ARCHITECT-MAKER POP-UP
24th - 30th of June 2022
Panel on 25th of June, 7pm
Join us at the London Festival of Architecture for the official launch of Gubns: a curated collection of treasures designed by those in architecture.
Throughout the pop-up, browse original works designed and made by built environment professionals and students extending their skills to other disciplines including textiles, ceramics, jewellery, woodworking, and more.
Often, these creations are thoughtfully designed, meticulously crafted and incredibly beautiful, but are simply hard to find, not for sale or tucked away. We collect and curate these original creations, and make their designers known. We’ll also host a panel inviting select architect-makers to share their journey into making, the highs and lows of juggling professions, and the perspectives gained by shifting scales, crafts and materials.
