HI BÉATRICE, CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND GROWING UP AND AS CREATIVE?
I grew up in France as the first of five children. I was learning painting conservation and restoration, from then my love for art history and paintings began.
WHEN DID YOU REALISE THAT YOU WANTED TO PURSUE A CAREER IN DESIGN?
When I was a student, I was working as a graphic designer for Christian Audigier who beginning his creative studio in Avignon.
Little by little, I chose this option and discovered I also liked to design clothes, learning everything by myself.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ARE THE CHALLENGES FACED BY DESIGNERS NOWADAYS?
No challenges for me, I am a very contemplative person, I just want to share my love for colours and patterns.
Also, not to be ashamed of the manufacturing process – we produce mainly in France in a little partner factory, and a small part in Portugal using a very good quality cotton.
WHAT DOES A NORMAL DAY IN THE STUDIO LOOK LIKE?
In my workplace, it is very calm. I just share my collection work with an intern, different for each collection, and they are really involved in the creative process.

COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS WHEN IT COMES TO DESIGNING AND MAKING?
We create all the images for the brand with a very little team, and sometimes give the freedom to artists or a photographer.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE TO THE PERSON WHO PURCHASES ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS?
I just wish the people who buy our socks get a little moment of joy when they wear them, and I imagine what they might wear them with!
IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS TO KEEP WITH YOU FOREVER, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?
I am not very attached to the products that I design, I prefer thinking about the next ones I can create!
