This vintage botanical print features a Hyphaene Thebaica Palm Tree against a dreamy landscape backdrop. Also appearing in the artwork are two characters, perhaps depictions of the two German botanists and explorers who created this study or those they may have met during their travels. During the 19th century, Carl (Karl) Friedrich von Martius and Johann Baptist Ritter von Spix explored copious jungles and forests and compiled them into the book; Historia Naturalis Palmarum.

This A3 print has been digitally restored to enable the high resolution finish and crisp detailing shown in this print, transporting us to the majestic scenes these two adventurers would have experienced whilst exploring distant lands. This print is set on a natural border which includes the title inscribed at the bottom, custom framing is available by us, see more details below, and we recommend this print to be set within a black wooden frame to fully showcase its beauty.

*This print may appear off-axis in the photo featured but this is just down to the example copy being from the original book. The A3 print you receive is perfectly straight and appears with a natural border that frames the jungle scene.
